The Client

Phoenix Taxis provide a professional and reliable taxi service for the visitors and residents of the Blyth Valley district. Their services include airport transfers, corporate accounts, disabled access vehicle provision, and 24/7 hackney and private hire. They have a large fleet of modern vehicles and enjoy a reputation as being leaders in the field for quality of service offered to their customers/clients.

The Aim

Growth of the existing business. The investment of additional company vehicles and the recruitment of drivers in order to meet the ever-increasing service needs of customers and clients.

The Solution

“Following the purchase of new vehicles we needed to recruit drivers who were committed to our core values and high levels of customer service” said Hughie Hurst, owner of Phoenix Taxis.

“We had limited success recruiting in the local labour market and were only too happy to talk to Profound Services about the supply of Polish drivers. We were extremely impressed with their professional approach and the services they provided which included the provision of accommodation, driver medicals, liaising with the local authorities, driving lessons and local driver knowledge theory tests and so we agreed for an initial intake of four drivers to pilot the project”. He said.

The Outcome

Profound Recruitment have so far supplied ten drivers to the company who are now the fastest growing taxi and private hire operator in Blyth – with the recruitment of additional drivers planned.
